Personally, I am not very satisfied with the treatment we had. I booked this vet because our regular one was closed. When I came there with my cat, I had to repeat 3-4 times to the doctor that I have 2 cats (he kept asking every 5 minutes). I had a feeling he wasn't paying attention. Because of our conversation, I thought that there was a sense of urgency, so I postponed my trip in order to do more tests with the cat that day. Then, in the emails, they kept referring to my cat as a "dog", which makes me quite concerned if the medication they recommended is for cats... They told us to come and pick up the medication for her. When my friend went to pick up the medication, they simply said they don't have a note in the system and they are out of that medication. They told us to check with another one of their practiced, instead of checking themselves. Because it's Easter Holidays, we haven't managed to find any other open vets or vet pharmacies and the poor baby will have to wait for 3 more days for the medication. Thankfully, our regular vet confirmed it can wait (which wasn't my impression from talking to this vet). If I had known that, I would wait nad take my cat to our trusted vet... They were fast + the technician was very nice to my cat, so I will give 2 stars

I visited this clinic for the first time because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Despite having an appointment, I had to wait for an hour. I had specifically booked with a doctor who was listed as English-speaking and specialized in feline respiratory diseases, but she was unavailable due to an emergency. Instead, we were seen by another doctor who barely spoke English, which made communication very difficult. It was hard to understand what we were supposed to do next. On top of that, we were charged €250 for what exactly? Just an X-ray and then being referred to another doctor for further tests? The whole experience felt very superficial. At the very least, I expected my cat to receive some form of relief or sedation, considering how badly he was coughing. I will not return 100% and I do not recommend this clinic at all!!!

The whole Rex franchise seems to fill a niche that caters to ex-pats/non-German speakers, and admittedly their app and having everything digitized makes it seamless and easy. They tend to have availability as needed, even same day, with various locations across Berlin. Waiting areas are separated between cats and dogs. I do find that they are on the expensive side (€40 for a visit plus various extra costs, even more for a follow-up), and it's annoying at times to not have consistency across vets (being able to schedule follow ups in a reasonable period with the same vet, vets having vastly differing opinions between visits). I also seem to have a minimum wait time of 15 minutes, with the longest being 30 which feels like it defeats the purpose of making an appointment when my cat is already stressed out for the visit. All in all, my experiences have been okay enough for me to not want to make the effort to switch to anyone else, but if something better comes along, I wouldn't mind going elsewhere.

Brought my dog to this clinic for the first time earlier this week, and unfortunately, they diagnosed her with late-stage cancer. The difficult decision to euthanize her had to be made, and they have been very supportive of my partner and me throughout the process. This was my first and only experience using Rex Tierarztpraxis, but I can only recommend their services to anyone who has a pet. They treated us with professionalism and compassion throughout, and made our poor dog's final days a little more bearable.
