I took my dog to this vet three times and each time was sent home with a diagnosis of "cystitis" and antibiotics. After seeing a different vet, my dog had emergency surgery because her uterus was inflamed and had to be removed. She also had inflamed paws, several hot spots on her body, and itching, etc. They prescribed a custom-mixed ointment, saying it was a "yeast infection." When I voiced my suspicion, he denied it. At the other vet, I didn't even have to voice my suspicion because he immediately saw that my dog was suffering from Malassezia, and he was able to treat her accordingly. Even during the injections, she screamed in panic and tensed up due to his improper handling and his "I don't want to" attitude.

For us, Dr. Niedringhaus is the best veterinarian we've ever had! He has helped my Icelandic horse with colic so many times. We feel very well cared for by him and hope he can continue practicing for many years to come.

We had all our animals treated there for years and were always satisfied. We switched when he (after he had already given her vaccinations) asked why we were there. Now the time had come for us to have our dog put down. So we called him, unfortunately after hours. He had also put down our Labrador at home. I called, and I haven't experienced such rudeness and lack of empathy in a long time. He told us we should bring her to his practice. After I mentioned that this wasn't possible because of two small children in bed, etc., he became very abusive and rude. I can understand wanting to go home for the day, but then you say something and don't bombard someone who is about to have their dog put down with accusations. It seems like he's already retired. Absolutely the worst!

In desperation, I called the vet because my cat was dying and I just wanted help. At 5:20 PM, 40 minutes before closing time, the caller interrupted me mid-sentence, saying "tomorrow 10-12 AM," and then simply hung up. I just needed advice on what I could do to ease her suffering until the next day. Unfortunately, my kitten passed away painfully at home that same night. They could have simply listened and offered some advice; I didn't expect them to come in at 5:20 PM.

Honestly, I can't understand the many negative reviews about Mr. Niedringhausen. Mr. Niedringhausen lives for his profession and is incredibly passionate about animals. He certainly doesn't need to work anymore financially, yet he continues to run his practice with unwavering dedication because he cares deeply about the animals and his work. We ourselves own a Rhodesian Ridgeback and have been patients of Mr. Niedringhausen for many years. No matter the time of day or the situation, he is always available and strives to help as much as he can. We particularly appreciate this helpfulness and reliability. We used to live in Erkelenz. Although we now live further away, we still make the approximately 90-kilometer trip because we have great confidence in Mr. Niedringhausen and his team. Of course, even veterinarians can make misdiagnoses. Unfortunately, such situations occur everywhere—even in hospitals or with doctors treating humans. Nobody is perfect. What's important to us is that the vet always genuinely strives to help the animals in the best possible way, and that's exactly what we've experienced at this practice for years. Furthermore, it should be mentioned that Mr. Niedringhausen offers comparatively fair and affordable prices. Many people forget this point in their reviews. Anyone dissatisfied with treatment naturally has the right to change veterinary practices. However, criticism should always be objective and fair. We, the Pasch family with our dog Apollo, are very satisfied with Mr. Niedringhausen and his team and grateful for their years of care and support.
