I went to the emergency vet yesterday, and as always, everything was excellent. Ms. Gagel took her time and explained everything. She handles all the patients, whether dog or cat, with great care and competence. I've been a patient at Jenter's veterinary practice for 25 years and gladly give them 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Thank you 🙂
We've been here with our Labrador, Luna, for years and have been very satisfied. Now she needed tartar removal, with the option of tooth extraction. Luna is now 12 years old. So we inquired whether this would be manageable for her. During the initial consultation, they mentioned that at 12, she has weakened internal organs. Luna was examined, listened to, and deemed fit for surgery. On the day of the surgery, we were given a form noting that she was an older dog and a bit weak. Luna was listened to again and declared fit for surgery after a visual inspection. After three hours under general anesthesia and the removal of six teeth, we were able to pick Luna up in the afternoon. Up to this point, everything was fine, but then the dog was completely different—a Labrador who wouldn't eat or drink anything! Off to the emergency vet. Shaking our heads in disbelief and confusion at subjecting a 12-year-old dog to this ordeal. So, a blood test was done, and 20 minutes later it was clear: the kidney was shot. So far gone that an IV drip was useless. So, after 12 years, we had to say goodbye to Luna because, for reasons we can't fathom, they skipped the blood test. When we inquired at the vet's office, the vet confirmed that we had been informed about the procedure both during the initial examination and on the day of treatment. Unfortunately, this was done by two different people, making her statement utter nonsense. Consequently, we repeatedly questioned whether we wanted to put the old girl through this, yet they refused a blood test? As a patient or pet owner, you have to be able to trust the vet's judgment. In this case, it was simply the wrong person who made the decision; Luna shouldn't have had to go yet, and certainly not like this.
Our thanks to Mrs. Gagel for her years of caring for our cat, who had to put our princess out of her misery on April 28, 2022, at the proud age of almost 21. "Spucki" has a lovely sunny spot in the garden.
We have been going to this practice for many years and are more than satisfied. Their competence and friendliness are second to none. They always listen attentively, offer excellent advice, and provide loving care and treatment for our animals. The final journey of our beloved pets is accompanied with compassion. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and hope to continue being cared for at this practice for many years to come.
For years, we took our dog Luna (an American Staffordshire Terrier) to this practice and always felt well cared for. While the waiting times were sometimes a bit longer, we could usually get an appointment quickly, which we were generally happy to accept. The practice team was always friendly and helpful. Our special thanks go to Ms. Gagel, with whom we always felt very comfortable, understood, and well-advised. She was always fair and professional, as well as empathetic. Unfortunately, due to a sudden, acute deterioration of her condition caused by a tumor, we had to have our dog euthanized at another practice. Had we had the choice, we would have gladly entrusted her final journey to Ms. Gagel, as we trusted her completely. Many thanks to the entire team for the excellent care and support over the years. We can definitely recommend this small animal practice!
