Reviews
My 24-year-old cockatiel wasn't feeling well. Dr. Volpert checked his kidneys, which were swollen, and prescribed medication. He felt better afterward. However, after a while, we noticed he was unwell again, this time with a lung problem. He received medication for that as well. Now he's doing well again and wakes us up in the morning. Dr. Volpert is a very good and competent veterinarian, and it's difficult to find vets nearby who are knowledgeable about birds. I trust him completely and would go back. Thank you for everything!
As always, I'm completely satisfied. Great team! I received excellent advice, and the costs were absolutely reasonable! I'll gladly come back (well, hopefully only for the vaccination :)))) ) Best regards, you're doing a great job!
Mr. Volpert may be technically competent, but I can't judge that. Unfortunately, all of that is irrelevant if there's no empathy for the patients, i.e., the pets. My experience is reflected in other one-star reviews. During a brief follow-up examination, which took no more than a minute of his time, Mr. Volpert didn't even bother to remove the lid of the cat carrier. Instead, he decided to open the door and shake the cat onto the table. When he realized the cat was clinging on, he simply shook it harder. The cat then fell to the floor, where Mr. Volpert snapped at us, telling us to catch it right away. I cannot recommend this veterinarian. The previously agreed-upon price was not honored, and when it came to billing, they tried to push homeopathic nonsense on us. While there might be some explanation for this, his treatment of the animals is simply unacceptable. The blood test results, which were available the very next day, were not communicated to us for over a week. When I called urgently to inquire, I was snapped at again, and the seriousness of the situation was ignored. In the end, they claimed they had already discussed it... No, they hadn't. Please do not take your pet to this veterinarian.
This veterinarian cannot be recommended! When a veterinarian diagnoses a cat with kidney disease and still administers four large syringes filled with additional fluid, causing my cat to get even worse and forcing me to have him euthanized the next day at the Stadtsteinach veterinary clinic, and then separates the lab results, it says it all.
