Reviews
I had to have a friend's dog put down, and I felt very well cared for. The vet was direct but still very compassionate. Thank you! 🫶
Top-notch vet. We've been customers for a long time, whether with dogs or cats! I can't say anything bad. Always satisfied.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this doctor. He diagnosed heart problems in our older dog. I gave him heart medication. After problems arose, he told me to increase the dose. Our dog subsequently went blind. Since she couldn't cope with it, we had to have her euthanized. A bird also died after treatment. Please do not go there. He makes inaccurate prognoses and prescribes excessive amounts of medication. Do not trust him.
We are always satisfied with Mr. Brandstädter. He says what he thinks and doesn't try to sell us anything we don't need. His prices are reasonable and not unreasonable. I hope he will be with us for many years to come.
I've been there several times. I can understand the excitement when his quick "diagnosis" hits the mark and then you don't understand the "negative" comments. Unfortunately, it backfired on me several times. Most recently, with my dog's purulent eye, which he didn't examine. Instead, he wanted to perform a "lift" on both eyes and sold it to me as the solution for the purulent eye. I had a bad feeling about it. The Dexa-Gentamicin eye ointment he prescribed until the surgery quickly worsened the condition; the eyes bulged, and the pupils stopped constricting. It was clear to me that something else was wrong with the eye. The following day, a proper examination by another veterinarian revealed a corneal defect in the affected eye. Furthermore, it was discovered that the Dexa-Gentamicin ointment was completely wrong; it shouldn't be given for a corneal defect because it causes the symptoms and deterioration my dog experienced. The truly alarming thing is that this can also damage the optic nerve. So, instead of helping my dog, I'm putting him in danger by going to this "doctor." All I get out of it is a visit to this "charismatic" doctor. The worst part is that he actually wanted to subject the animal to this "cosmetic surgery," as he called it.
