Dr. Erich Krauthausen

We are completely satisfied with our veterinarian Dr. Erich Krauthausen, and our Amy feels comfortable too. He has never tried to talk us into anything our dog doesn't like. We are always satisfied with the service provided and the billing. Hopefully, you will stay with us for a long time, Christa, Andreas, and Amy 🐶

Dr. Krauthausen is always friendly and accommodating! He lovingly cares for the animals that are brought to him! He doesn't prescribe unnecessary treatments just to make more money, and even when someone asks about tartar removal for their dog or cat, etc., he examines the animal and if he thinks it's not necessary, he tells you so! My cat had a bladder infection on May 1st! The vet in Neuhäusel was on emergency duty! The tablets and the injection cost the least, around 40 euros, not even 5 minutes with the telescope and palpation, and because it was an emergency, it was 120 euros – those are exorbitant prices! Dr. Krauthausen agreed! The emergency vet immediately told me that if I decided to continue seeing him, I should also come on regular days! The cat would need blood work, x-rays, and maybe even an ultrasound. The cat is 18 years old, so there are so many possibilities, and all of that would need to be checked out! That would easily cost a few hundred euros! And what if she really does have something? We can only send friends and acquaintances to Dr. Krauthausen, as we have been doing all along! He's fair in his prices; sometimes he even declines certain procedures. He only examines, cleans, or prescribes what's truly necessary! Unfortunately, he's retiring at the end of 2024! It's hard to find a doctor like him. Hopefully, Dr. Krauthausen has a recommendation for another vet! Dr. Krauthausen is simply highly recommended! Thank you so much for your effort and time! No waiting times, thanks to their efficient appointment scheduling, exceptional expertise, an absolutely competent team, respectful treatment of both two-legged and four-legged patients. Well, I can't confirm any of it, he tramples on other opinions, it makes sense to argue, some people think their outdated studies make them all-knowing. All the other vets are just talking rubbish, that's how he put it. So be careful, get several opinions. My cats are well looked after with good food and dental care and fur and claw care and he is the only vet who says they are sick without examining them and knows that one treatment already costs 160 euros, but 350 on the phone the nice lady at reception said it's a bit more expensive. A bit. Totally incompetent if you ask me, for insulting me. He wanted 30 euros for 5 minutes to weigh the cat, I hope you like it.
