Dr. Kerstin Koppenburg

On September 21st, I took my cockatiel to Dr. Koppenburg's veterinary practice because he had trapped his foot and was bleeding heavily. It's often difficult for bird owners to find a specialized veterinarian, especially on a Saturday. I was therefore incredibly grateful that Dr. Koppenburg was on call that day. Even on the phone, her calming and caring manner was very empathetic, which helped me a great deal in my panic. We were able to be at the practice just an hour later. Dr. Koppenburg took excellent care of my cockatiel. Due to the significant blood loss, she acted immediately and cauterized the affected claw, which I believe probably saved his life. Although she honestly admitted that she isn't a specialist in birds and referred us to an expert for future treatments (we later found Dr. Behncke in Steinen), I am immensely grateful to her. Her openness, professionalism, and prompt assistance were invaluable in that situation. Dr. Koppenburg took wonderful care of my cockatiel. Thank you so much, Dr. Koppenburg, also on behalf of Apollo! He's doing great again, thankfully.

I am incredibly grateful and would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks once again to the veterinarian and her assistants. I was able to get an appointment for my puppy just before closing time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I received expert advice right from the start, even over the phone. They took plenty of time and explained everything to me calmly. The assistant was incredibly empathetic and her manner put me at ease. My puppy is doing well again, thanks to the prompt help and the wonderful care.

In a very stressful situation, you can tell they truly understand your pet. During the visit, and also during the phone call, they are always very friendly and professional and do their best to help.

I love these vets. They are all very caring, honest and passionate. The staff at the front desk are lovely to deal with. I have come from the UK where they take a very much ‘wait and see’ approach pet care, and these vets are much more proactive and sensible. I will definitely keep going back.

The reception staff were very friendly. Our dog was examined, but it felt a bit rushed and impersonal. The examination room was a bit... well, I've certainly seen cleaner ones. But our four-legged friend is doing well again. Thanks again!
