Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog after nine wonderful years. When we received a devastating diagnosis at a clinic, seemingly out of the blue, and were advised to let her go, it quickly became clear to me that I needed two things: 1. a second opinion to be at peace with my decision; and 2. to give my dog a dignified farewell, away from the hustle and bustle of a large clinic. Both the veterinary assistants and the veterinarians themselves made this difficult moment as easy as possible. The diagnosis was discussed in detail, and they provided guidance to help us make a decision. And all of this was done with such sensitivity. Even the euthanasia was carried out with dignity, calm, and empathy. We went home filled with grief, but with the knowledge that it was the right decision and, above all, the best possible place to say goodbye. Even my husband, who hadn't known the vet before, said on the way home that he now understood why it was so important to me to go to the trouble of taking my dog to this veterinary practice instead of the clinic that made the initial diagnosis. Thank you, truly thank you, for accompanying us through this painful moment with such empathy and dignity.

We took Amy to the vet's office quite often. Most recently, it was for a mammary tumor that had to be surgically removed. This routine operation turned out to be a really stressful day and the following weeks for us! We initially went for a swab test, as she was supposed to be spayed at the same time. However, on the day of the surgery, Ms. Pulheim advised us against it. It felt strange to us and, in retrospect, didn't make much sense. Our regular vet, on the other hand, would have recommended it immediately. On the day of the surgery: Our dog had to have a second operation that same day because the bleeding wouldn't stop. When we picked up our dog, we spoke with Ms. Pulheim again, who worried us by suggesting our dog might have a clotting disorder, something she hadn't encountered before. The sutures and drainage seemed unusual to me. Even with my medical background, I personally didn't feel comfortable with it. The bandage wasn't even sticking properly. A few days later, the wound was infected. End of story: in the end, there were two germs in the wound, and we were referred to another practice. There, we got Amy back without any complications after the third operation. No problems, and everything healed perfectly. Our dog has no clotting disorder or any other problems! Unfortunately, subsequent consultations were only conducted by one of her colleagues. She herself was never available to speak with us. But the fact that our dog even had to have her abdomen completely reopened a second time... that still weighs heavily on us and Amy to this day. Mistakes can happen, and we were open to discussion... but it's a shame that Ms. Pulheim was never consulted again. Her colleague was supposed to discuss this case with us, even though she didn't perform the surgery. As the owner and surgeon, she should definitely be conducting these discussions herself. We were very disappointed. We really enjoyed going to the practice before and were very satisfied with the other veterinarians. I would have liked to attach pictures, but unfortunately that's not possible.

A wonderful veterinary practice. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. We brought in our two 15 year old female Weimaraner crosses for check ups after they had both developed separate issues, and the level of care they received was exceptional. One of our girls is extremely anxious around vets, had developed an intestinal problems, we were worried by the amount of weight shed lost. Dr. Blank and her apprentice handled her with such patience and kindness, taking the time to examine her thoroughly while keeping her relaxed. The medication they prescribed worked brilliantly and she has bounced back remarkably well. We were also given a thoughtful diet plan filled with all her favourites to help her regain the weight she had lost, and she’s responded incredibly well to it. She's a really resilient wee thing. Our other girl had developed a large growth that was making it difficult for her to walk comfortably and was crying every time she was at rest. After treatment and a short course of medication, the growth has reduced significantly and she’s now moving around so much more easily. Seeing her return to her old self so quickly is awesome. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and genuine care shown by Dr. Blank and the entire team. It’s clear they truly love what they do and care deeply about the animals they treat as well as giving enough room for the owner to make the decision of how much they can afford to spend. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone who wants their pets to be in safe, capable, and very kind hands. We actually found this practice by accident looking for somewhere else, really was a stroke of luck. Funny how things happen sometimes 👍
