We've only recently started taking our cat to her. She's a fantastic veterinarian. Very empathetic, she takes her time, and she's always up for a laugh. We've been to her three times now: twice for vaccinations and once for neutering. He's not our first cat, but we've never had a cat so healthy after neutering or anesthesia. We highly recommend her and look forward to many years together! ☺️
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend her. I took my cat to her three months ago because of severe itching. Her ears and face looked terrible (see pictures below). She diagnosed it as a "food allergy," without any further investigation. The food improved her condition, and the inflammation completely cleared up. This past weekend, she became extremely ill. So ill, in fact, that she had to be euthanized at a veterinary clinic on Sunday. She had a serious autoimmune disease. We were never advised to have blood or allergy tests done, and we weren't informed about other possible illnesses; we were simply told it was a "food allergy," which we unfortunately trusted. Furthermore, according to Ms. Stauffer, she was underweight at her vaccination appointment last year, and she wasn't weighed at the same appointment three months ago during her routine check-up. She didn't even reach two years old! At the clinic, they added, "It's not always the food." Her medical record states that she had eczema on her face and ears. If I just type in "eczema," a whole range of serious illnesses come up. She was far too casual about the examination, and we're going to change vets.
The best vet ever! The way she and the rest of the staff interact with the animals is fantastic! We have a terrified cat, but they take that into account very well. She also remembers the animal's medical history and is always very reassuring! So, if you're looking for a truly great vet, Dagny is the one to go to!
For many years, we have entrusted our cats to the veterinary practice of Dagny Stauffer – and with complete conviction. Throughout this time, we have not only experienced outstanding professional care, but above all, incredible warmth, patience, and compassion. Our cats aren't simply treated here; they are truly seen and lovingly cared for. Especially during difficult times, when you're worried, it's a great gift to know such an empathetic and understanding team is by your side. Ms. Stauffer always takes her time, listens, and explains everything calmly and clearly. With every visit, you can feel how much the well-being of the animals means to her. We are deeply grateful for the long-standing, trustworthy care our cats have received. We couldn't wish for a better veterinary practice and recommend it wholeheartedly.
I've been going to Dr. Stauffer for many years and am completely satisfied. She's not only highly competent but also a wonderful person and has often been very accommodating. She usually examines the animal thoroughly, even if it's just for a vaccination. The local cat rescue organization is also very impressed with her helpfulness. I'm very grateful to her for everything she's done for my animals.
