Reviews
With an appointment, there was hardly any waiting time, and my pet's surgery went smoothly. The staff is competent, helpful, and friendly. The doctor is very experienced.
Good experience with an eye infection in a dog. Handles the animal well and takes the necessary time.
Caution is advised! A choleric veterinarian is issuing bans despite a doctor's certificate exempting me from wearing a mask. As a veterinarian, she obviously doesn't possess the in-depth knowledge of a real doctor, so during her outburst, my only option was to flee. It's sad to see how a long-standing, trusted service provider suddenly develops fanatical misconceptions and prioritizes these beliefs over the welfare of the animals. I wish you a speedy recovery.
I've been a client of Ms. Mellert's veterinary clinic since January 2023, when the previous vet closed the practice. The problem was that my cat was losing weight, and there was no clear diagnosis. During my second visit, they performed blood tests and told me my cat had elevated kidney values, so they prescribed medication and food for her kidneys. However, after receiving the medication, my cat started vomiting violently. So I decided to have the test results reviewed by a specialist, who told me my cat had been misdiagnosed and given the wrong medication and food. I then went to the veterinary clinic in Rheinfelden, where I had to have blood tests done for my cat a third time. The ultrasound also confirmed that Ms. Mellert had made a completely incorrect diagnosis. The ultrasound showed no serious condition, and they recommended Royal Canin wet food. My cat's weight remained constant at 3.3–3.8 kg for over a year. How is it possible that this veterinarian with so much experience made a wrong diagnosis and prescribed the wrong medication and cat food? If I had followed her diagnosis from January 20, 2023, the cat would have become seriously ill or even died. Since the cat's condition had improved after six months on a special diet, and the cat was constantly hungry, I decided to buy Royal Canin Recovery from Ms. Mellert on Monday, January 29, 2024. However, immediately afterward, the cat developed severe diarrhea. On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, I called and requested an emergency appointment, but her assistant told me that she wasn't working and that there were no emergency appointments. (There are also days when she isn't working at all.) However, I was told to call back the next day if the problem persisted. That evening, the problem worsened, and I took the cat to the emergency room in Basel, where she died two hours later from dehydration and shock. I sent her an urgent email complaint on February 1, 2024, which she has completely ignored to this day. My cat's death will not end easily for Ms. Mellert, especially after reading the reviews. I've noticed serious negligence and a lack of expertise, not to mention the financial damage. Aside from the terrible emotional distress she caused me, I paid her no less than I would have paid someone in Switzerland who played with my cat's life. Under no circumstances should you entrust your pet's life to this woman!
Highly competent and excellent with four-legged patients. They don't immediately prescribe medication but also recommend alternative options. The entire team is very friendly.
